Porcelain Tiles.
Porcelain tiles are fast becoming the most popular tiles amongst customers, as they are much cheaper and widely available now, than they were 10 to 15 years ago. They are also superior to "ceramic tiles", as they are exceptionally hard and durable. They have an absortion rate of about a 100 times less than the average ceramic tile and thus can be used in extreme climate conditions – externally and internally. Rectified porcelain tiles are less likely to expand and contract and thus the grouting joints can be as little as 1-2 mm in size making cleaning a pleasure. Porcelain tiles are comprised of quartz, feldspar and porcelain clays and are fired in molds at about 1200 degress centigrade. Porcelain tiles can be glazed, polished or unglazed in finish.
